Acute Inflammation Oil
A deep, earthy blend traditionally used for grounding and comfort when the body feels strained or reactive.
This blend is crafted to support balance and comfort in areas that feel stuck between chronic and acute discomfort—places that seem reactive, stressed, or unable to fully settle. Many people use it when pain levels feel high, swelling or stiffness comes and goes, or when an area feels energetically “disrupted” or unsettled. The intention of this blend is to encourage a calmer, more cohesive state within the tissues and the surrounding energy of the area.
Note: This is a dark blue oil and may stain clothing.
Uses:
- High levels of discomfort
- Swelling or reactivity
- Stiffness
- Acute flare-ups
The Oils in the Blend:
- Lavender – to balance the blend in all realms
- Tagette – helps support the rebuilding of tissue and the nervous system
- Galbanum – supports the body’s natural inflammatory response and supports tissue recovery. Helps support cellular strength and structure
- Cabreva – traditionally associated with supporting the body during periods of heightened inflammation. Steroid treatments are used when too much inflammation is present, and the area needs to “dry up” from inflammation
- Cedarwood – blended with these other oils, the synergy leans toward helping support the release of emotional patterns trapped in scar tissue that may contribute to a prolonged inflammatory cycle (if one has already started)
- Blue Yarrow – this oil is used to support tissue contraction and organization on both the physical and energetic realm. You can often feel a tightening of the skin and tissues when applied. This oil is added specifically to support the body’s natural repair process during the initial 12-week recovery window
Primary Use of the Blend:Â
To support optimal recovery during the acute phase following injury or surgery—particularly within the first 12 weeks. This blend is formulated to help the body access supportive conditions for recovery, physically and energetically, by addressing inflammatory signaling patterns that can delay progress.
Secondary Use of the Blend:
This blend may also be helpful for older, unresolved areas of scar tissue or long-standing discomfort that continue to behave as if they are in an acute state—even long after the original injury occurred. These are often areas of lingering imbalance that have not been given the conditions to fully settle.
Examples include:
- Recurrent pain near or around scar tissue, especially from surgeries (e.g., abdominal, joint, or spinal)
- Chronic pain cycles with sudden flare-ups that mimic acute inflammation
- Injuries that never fully “settle” or remain tender, red, or energetically “hot”
This oil can help support closure and integration not only of the physical tissue layers but also of energetic patterns that may keep the inflammatory process cycling.
